Bringing Neupulse to the United States
We know how challenging Tourette syndrome can be. Not just for the individual living with tics, but for families, caregivers, and the wider community supporting them. We also understand the desire for new, effective treatment options. Neupulse is a wearable device that offers some hope for the TS community, but we have some important steps to take first. Being a medical device it’s essential that we follow the proper regulatory pathways to ensure it is both safe and effective.
We are confident in the science behind Neupulse and the data supporting it. At present, we are progressing with the UK’s regulatory approval process. This is an important milestone, because it helps ensure Neupulse isn’t just a device that works, but one that meets the highest standards for safety, quality, and performance.
In parallel, we’ve begun preparations to pursue the same process in the United States, including the steps required for FDA review. While we can’t provide a US release date at this time, we want to keep you informed as progress continues. The best way to stay up to date is to follow us on social media or subscribe to our newsletter (you can do that here or use the links in the footer), and you can also find helpful information on our FAQ page.
We truly appreciate how meaningful this could be for people living with Tourette syndrome, and we share the urgency to make Neupulse available as soon as possible. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us at enquiries@neupulse.co.uk.
How it works
Our research has been guided by the voices of people with tic disorders and their families, who told us they wanted a safe, non-drug treatment that could be used outside the clinic and put individuals back in control of their tics. This feedback led us to explore peripheral nerve stimulation as a way to target the brain networks involved in tic production.
Through our studies, we found that gentle, rhythmic electrical stimulation of the median nerve at the wrist can strengthen brain rhythms linked to movement suppression. This approach has been shown to significantly reduce both tic frequency and the urge to tic, without affecting intentional movements or cognitive functions like attention.

The science
Our research into Tourette Syndrome began in 2005. Find out how our work has been shaped by the people who need it most and dig into the data.
Drug Free and Non-Invasive
We know from the Tourette Syndrome community that there has always been a strong desire for a solution that doesn't involve drugs or involve major surgery. Neupulse delivers on this wish.
Getting started is simple
